Polyguard 850 Underseal Underslab Membrane is a tough, 85 mil thick waterproofing membrane/vapor barrier that is made with a double-thickness, cross-laminated, HDPE backing that is laminated to a thick layer of proprietary waterproofing adhesive compound integrated into a high-strength, nonwoven geotextile fabric. It protects floor finishes and indoor air quality by virtually eliminating water and vapor transmission through concrete slabs and elevator pits. Additionally, it acts as a barrier to toxic containments such as methane and radon gas and provides a continuous seal underneath the foundation slab. It is typically installed horizontally over a prepared subbase such as compacted soil, mud slab or #57 stone, but can also be used in vertical applications.
