Taste of the Timberwolves 2015

3/10/2015

On March 5th, the Minnesota Timberwolves added another year to its well-known fundraising event. It’s been 20 years since they started the “FastBreak Foundation“, a benefit that supports youth across Minnesota.

The Target Center was almost unrecognizable as it was transformed from the traditional basketball court into a classy event space. Top local food and beverage businesses shared their best cuisine and drinks, while guests participated in a silent auction, took photos with the Timberwolves players and cheerleaders and purchased basketballs to be autographed. Proceeds from event tickets, auction items, basketballs and a mobile donation app, support the cause.

Following social hour, Kare11’s Julie Nelson shared two stories from local youth who benefited from the FastBreak Foundation. Their stories captured the power of the foundation and the memories these youth will take with them forever. Once our hearts were touched and some joyful tears wiped away, we welcomed special guest and Minnesota’s own, Louie Anderson, as he hosted a live Family Feud game between the Timberwolves players.

The evening concluded with a final chance to socialize with the players, wrapping up another fantastic Taste of the Timberwolves event.
